okay but this is brilliant, not only if you’re on a foreign country and don’t speak the language, but imagine someone who’s deaf and can’t talk and communicate and someone wants to help and doesn’t know sign language, if the deaf person gets the bracelet, is actually pretty useful!

This is much better than that ridiculous ‘universal translator’ doodad that was floating around here a while back. AND it actually works, unlike aforementioned doodad.

Okay I know I just reblogged this, but I’m not done with it.

Has anyone else thought about how much more compelling this simple change would have been thematically? We lose nothing of Clint’s character development, because a sister can be just as important and share the same concerns as a wife. But instead of an awkwardly underdeveloped romantic relationship, suddenly there’s a sibling relationship to parallel the Maximoffs. But Clint has chosen to protect his family and keep them out of it, while Pietro and Wanda have chosen to fight side by side.  Give Clint a conversation with Pietro about family, and protecting their family. Make them disapprove of each other’s methods. Pietro’s sacrifice to save Clint is instantly so much more heartbreaking. Give us Clint fighting to bring Pietro’s body back, because he knows he needs to bring him home to Wanda.

Literally so much improvement with less than five minutes of the actual film changed

It’s important for parents to have open, honest conversations with their children about family health history, including mental health. You should know what risk factors you’re up against and the options and resources available to you. Parents should encourage good self-care and empower kids to still feel normal when facing the backlash of misunderstanding with stigma.

I’m very proud of her for bring so honest about this. Wish more people were like her.

in stories, people who are depressed, stressed out, and/or sick become thin and pale. in reality, they just as often become fat and get acne. not because they suddenly started ‘eating their feelings’ – in fact, often they have a drop in appetite just like the people who get skinny – but because stress throws your metabolism and hormones out of whack. maybe your trouble burns up your reserves like you’re on fire… or maybe your body goes into famine mode and shoves every calorie into storage, leaving you no energy to live on, so you’re tired and dizzy all the time even while gaining weight.

not that i expect anyone to make their tragic hero get fat and spotty. it’s not romantic. i’m just saying you can’t take fiction as reality. it’s been prettied up.
